Job summary

Nox Metals in Detroit, MI, seeks a Factory Technician for weekend first shift to cut, inspect, and ship aluminum parts for aerospace/defense customers. You will operate saws, measure to spec, log data, and ensure shipments leave correctly. Training will be provided on CNC equipment and material handling systems.

You will join a fast-paced metals operation, with hands-on work from receiving to shipping, and the chance to improve processes while maintaining a safe, organized workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory, metals shop, or skilled trades.
• Committed to safety and quality in every cut, cert, and shipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Comfortable using software to log data and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems.
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec.
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes after training and certification.
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision.
• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders.
• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Record cut data and job completions in software accurately.
• Identify process improvements and help keep the floor organized and safe.
• Work safely every shift and hold teammates to high standards.
