Job summary

Ferguson in Fulton, MS is seeking a Weekend Fabrication Technician to join a growing team. Work Friday through Sunday, three 12-hour shifts, with weekdays off, and direct hire at a Fortune 500 company.

You will cut-to-length pipe, read blueprints, operate cranes, forklifts, RF devices, and work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, thermoplastic, and PVC across a wide range of diameters. Safety and quality are emphasized in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade/technical school or military experience preferred.
• 4–6 years machine operation experience — pipe cutting and threading preferred.
• 3–5 years forklift/MHE operation preferred.
• 2–4 years welding or pipe end finishing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, bevel, groove, and weld specialized pipe materials.
• Perform precise machine setups and verify measurements to required tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and mechanical lifting equipment safely.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
• Use RF devices to locate, move, and stage material as needed.
