Job summary

Curate Group is seeking Weekend Event Staff for the Lumos Candlelit Experience. You will support events on Fridays and Saturdays as a 1099 contractor, handling load-in/out, setup, guest check-in, seating, and overall guest service to ensure a memorable experience.

You will coordinate with musicians and venue staff, maintain a safe, presentable environment, and help with breakdown. A reliable car and flexible schedule are required for travel to events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or a related guest-facing role preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Consistent availability on Fridays and Saturdays, including evenings as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support Friday and Saturday events as an on-site Event Assistant on a 1099 contractor basis.
• Assist with load-in and load-out of show equipment, props, and event supplies.
• Help set up the event space, including seating, signage, lighting, and ambience elements.
• Assist with guest check-in, ticket verification, and welcoming attendees upon arrival.
• Support guest seating, wayfinding, and general guest questions or needs throughout the event.
• Liaise with musicians, performers, and venue staff to help coordinate timing and logistics.
• Monitor the event environment to help maintain appropriate lighting, ambience, and overall presentation.
• Respond to on-site issues or guest concerns with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
• Help ensure all event areas are kept organized, safe, and presentable before, during, and after the show.
• Contribute to a smooth event breakdown, ensuring equipment and materials are properly packed and secured.
• Represent Lumos with professionalism, clear communication, and excellent customer service at all times.
