Job summary

Curate Group’s Lumos Candlelit Experience is seeking Weekend Event Staff to join as an on-site, 1099 contractor, primarily Fridays and Saturdays in Montclair. You will support all aspects of event operations, from load-in to guest check-in, ensuring a smooth guest experience and professional brand presence.

Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and coordinate with on-site leads and venue staff while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality, or guest-facing roles preferred.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Available Fridays and Saturdays, including evenings.
• Own or access to a car; willing to travel to events up to 2 hours away with travel contribution.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow event schedules.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with load-in and load-out of show equipment and props.
• Set up event space, seating, signage, lighting, and ambience.
• Check guests in, verify tickets, and greet attendees.
• Help guests with seating, wayfinding, and questions during events.
• Coordinate with musicians, performers, and venue staff on timing.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and presentable event area throughout.
• Contribute to a smooth breakdown and proper packing of equipment.
