Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Registered Nurse I for the Emergency Department at Rochester General Hospital. This weekend-shift role covers 36 hours per week, delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a busy ED and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The RN will perform assessments, develop individualized plans, document care, and ensure safety and compliance with policies. BLS and NYS RN licensure are required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 6 months RN

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 6 months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data
• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team
• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately
• Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department
