PetVet Care Centers’ Animal Emergency Clinic St. Louis is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Weekend Shift) to join our team.

This role supports veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including restraint, preparing surgery suites, nursing duties, and clerical work. The Kirkwood location operates within a 24/7 emergency hospital network, offering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 2+ years in the veterinary field

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and owners, guide to exam room and record vital signs
• Triage, perform physical exams, treatments, and assist with medications
• Assist doctors and technicians with patient restraint and procedures
• Perform lab tests and take radiographs
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of hospital, equipment, and kennels
• Keep accurate medical records and proper documentation
