Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd Emergency Department is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse for weekend coverage (11a–11p), with 24 hours per week and a mid‑shift schedule. The role emphasizes direct patient care and teamwork in a fast‑paced ED.

The unit handles 160+ patients daily with a broad range of emergencies. Indiana or compact licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required or obtained within set timeframes. EOE.

Qualifications

• Indiana or compact RN license (active)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (within 12 months)
• PALS certification required (within 12 months)
• NIHSS certification required (within 10 weeks)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care to patients on shift
• Work as an on‑shift team member delivering direct patient care
• Collaborate with families and co‑workers to meet patient needs
• Maintain ED procedures and safety protocols in a high‑volume setting
