Qualifications

• Completion of an approved/accredited Ultrasound program or two-year echocardiography program.
• Education can be substituted with experience.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS required.
• RDCS or RCS certification required or obtained within 9 months.
• Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic testing to record anatomical structures and their motions.
• Prepared patient psychologically and physically for examination.
• Operates echocardiographic recorder while performing the examination, visualizing as many cardiac structures as possible.
• Selects appropriate tracings for cardiologist.
• Call rotation required with 30-minute arrival time from notification.
