Job summary

Brooklyn Bark in New York is seeking a dependable Weekend Dog Walker to join our professional team. This part-time, W-2 position includes PTO and 401(k) benefits, plus paid training and ongoing education on dog and cat behavior.

You will lead 30–60 minute walks, supervise active play, and log notes or photos for clients. Availability on Saturdays and Sundays, ability to commute to Brooklyn, and a genuine love of pets are essential.

Role Overview

Brooklyn Bark is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as a Weekend Dog Walker! This is a part-time, W-2 employed position that receives benefits like paid time off (PTO) and 401(k) payroll contributions. Additionally, you will be provided with paid training and education on dog and cat behavior throughout your tenure with us!

What You'll Do:

• Prepare the dogs in each household to go outside with appropriate safety gear
• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
• Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
• Clean up after pets outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build strong rapport with pets and their owners

What We're Looking For:

• Availability: Some hours between 8 AM and 8 PM both Saturday and Sunday
• Ability to commute to and around Brooklyn
• Willing to take on last-minute requests
• Prior experience with dogs and cats is a plus, but not required.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18.
• Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
• A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.

Pay & Perks:

• Paid per walk (rate varies by visit length and location).
• Typical earnings: $100-$150 per week (~5-10 hours).
• PTO accrual and 401(k) eligibility after 6 months.
