Cemak Trucking is looking to hire FULL TIME Diesel Technicians level 2 or 3. As a valued member of our team, the Maintenance Truck Tech III is required to perform all duties of the level 1 and level 2 technician. In addition, should show proficiency in one of the two major skill categories and about 60% proficiency in another category. Category 1 includes internal repairs on engines, transmissions, and gearboxes. Category 2 includes electronic control modules, sensors, complex electrical, and after-treatment repairs.

Shift
  • Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00 pm – 12:00 am
Pay Range
  • Tech II: $30-$35
  • Tech III: $35-$41
Travel Required:

Estimated less than 25%

Responsibilities
  • Use appropriate tools to diagnose and perform major repairs on vehicles, including inspections and routine preventive services.
  • Use compressed gas torch and adjustments.
  • Perform inspections and mechanical repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain effective communication and computer skills for proper documentation.
  • Identify all vehicle parts accurately.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  • Ensure vehicles meet inspection requirements.
  • Keep records of inspections, DVIRs, work descriptions, and work orders.
  • Replace, install, and service brake systems, cab and sheet metal components, engine accessories, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, and lighting electrical systems.
  • Service and diagnose various vehicle systems including mixer truck equipment, transfer systems, starting, steering, transmissions, wheels, hubs, bearings, electronic control systems, charging systems, clutches, drive lines, suspensions, and more.
  • Inspect and identify vehicle conditions on various equipment types.
  • Install, select, or identify proper tire replacements and ensure compliance with legal limits.
  • Diagnose and repair engine failures, transmission and gearbox failures, after-treatment systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC, and more.
  • Complete all assigned maintenance and repairs on property equipment, including diesel, plant, or yard equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with DOT and company standards.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High school diploma.
  • 4+ years of heavy-duty tractor maintenance experience.
  • Experience working on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Own tools required.
Preferred Education And Experience
  • Associates degree, technical school certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of heavy-duty tractor maintenance experience.
  • Experience working on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • 3+ years welding experience.
