Job summary

Edisto Post Acute in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents on 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The role requires current SC CNA certification and a dedication to resident care.

You will perform essential nursing tasks, document diligently, assist with daily living activities, and ensure safety and comfort while maintaining confidentiality and following facility policies.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unencumbered South Carolina CNA Certification.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments, serving meals, etc.
• Record entries using only authorized abbreviations.
• Report changes in resident’s condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Document data clearly in flow sheets, notes, charts, etc.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and report suspected disclosures.
• Follow facility policies and procedures when performing nursing tasks.
• Prepare resident rooms for admission and escort residents to rooms.
• Greet residents and introduce them to roommates and staff.
• Assist with daily living activities and transport residents as needed.
• Maintain a warm, calm, and supportive unit environment.
• Participate in nursing handoffs and report any concerns to supervisors.
