Qualifications

  • Current state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
  • Must have current Medication Aide Certification and CPR certification.

Job description

Overview

Great outcomes start with great people, and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Medication Aide/ CRMA to join our team at York County Jail in Alfred, ME.


Responsibilities

  • Dispenses oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
  • Observes patients for drug reactions and reports any problems to Charge nurse
  • Monitors patient’s vital signs, calculates medication dosages, and stocks the medication cart
  • Records medications and dosages administered daily
  • Performs routine procedures under established protocols, including phlebotomy and electrocardiograms
  • Manages and maintains pharmacy stocks of medicines and medical supplies

Qualifications

  • Current state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Current Medication Aide Certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including background check and drug screen
