Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Part Time Cyber Defense Analyst for the Weekend Day Shift in Suitland, MD, supporting the Navy’s cybersecurity environment at the ONI Hopper Global Communications Center. You will monitor security tools, analyze alerts for TS/SCI networks, and perform initial threat evaluations.

The role emphasizes CND discipline, SIEM experience (Splunk/Elastic), and familiarity with NIDPS and endpoint tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field; 4+ years experience or Master's with 2+ years experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Experience in CND discipline and monitoring/ investigating alerts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools and analyze alerts for TS/SCI networks (JWICS, ATLAS).
• Investigate incidents and escalate to Tier 2 as needed.
• Create and manage incident tickets; document findings.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify malicious activity.
• Prepare and deliver operational briefings.
• Support annual cyber defense exercises.
