Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVICU). The role features a full-time weekend day schedule (7a-7p) with potential sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and relocation packages for qualified candidates. The unit handles 1-2 patients with complex post-surgical cardiac care.

Candidates must have an RN degree and Virginia RN license; BLS within 90 days of hire. Prior CVICU or critical care experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• RN Degree REQUIRED.
• Virginia RN License REQUIRED.
• BLS Certification required within 90-days of hire.
• 1 year of RN experience STRONGLY PREFERRED.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care following the nursing process.
• Monitor and manage critically ill CVICU patients with hemodynamic monitoring and support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to plan and coordinate patient care.
