Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Unit on the Weekend Day Shift. The unit handles diverse adult surgical patients and telemetry monitoring, offering a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates and relocation packages.

All Direct Care RNs must have a Virginia RN license and BLS within 90 days. Prior RN experience in surgical or med-surg settings is preferred, with opportunities for growth in a Magnet-designated facility.

Qualifications

• RN license is required and BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing care using the nursing process with assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Experience or readiness for telemetry-monitored post-surgical care.

Responsabilités

• Provide competent nursing care on a 42-bed adult surgical unit.
• Assist patients recovering from various surgeries across multiple PODs.
• Perform assessments, coordinate care, teach health promotion, and document care.
