Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time weekend program. The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, benefits starting day one, and a 36-hour week with a Friday–Sunday 7a–7:30p schedule.

You will perform CT scans, post-processing, and protocol tailoring in a fast-paced radiology department. Growth opportunities and teamwork are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for Performance of CT scans and post processing according to established clinical protocols, guidelines and department operating procedures
• Transports patients to and from departments when necessary; assists in transfer of patients on and off the CT table; continually monitors patient condition during CT procedure
• Works with radiologist in tailoring protocols to meet patient exam requirements
• Follows CT Department Technologist workflow to manage scans, documents identification, obtain history, verify orders and send images to PACs
• Positions patients correctly using proper immobilization techniques
• Performs optimal scans using correct factors and shielding according to patient and diagnosis
• Performs CT angiography, 3D, MIPS, VR, Vessel Analysis, and MPRs; post-processes data to aid radiologist interpretation
• Operates CT support equipment including workstation, injector, PACs and RadNet systems
• Initiates IV for contrast media; ensures IV certification within 3 months of hire
• Prepares patient for exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions
• Maintains good relations with internal and external customers; adheres to Advocate Standards of Behavior
• Handles patient concerns, follows service recovery practices, and escalates issues when needed
• Obtains pertinent patient history to ensure exam appropriateness and proper use of contrast media
• Documents confidential history, consent forms, and charge data; maintains department records and inventory
• Ensures compliance with safety standards, performs daily QA scans, promotes patient safety, and follows disaster and evacuation policies
