Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist for a casual position at Lake Forest Hospital. Schedule is every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 2:30p-11p with on-call and holiday rotation required.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, producing diagnostic CT images, applying ALARA principles, and ensuring complete study transfer to PACS while documenting properly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• 1 year experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging, including screening, prep, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and standards.
• Apply professional judgment within protocols to optimize image quality and address challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action if needed.
• Administers contrast per policy with screening and monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains documentation in medical records and PACS; ensures accurate charging.
• Adheres to ethics, compliance, and quality/safety standards.

Education
