Job summary

The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is seeking a Part-Time Creative Arts Therapist to join our Creative Arts Therapy & Wellness team in Philadelphia. This role offers 20–24 hours per week with a Friday through Monday schedule and weekend availability, onsite at our Philadelphia location.

The incumbent will conduct individual and group sessions across modalities such as art, music, dance/movement, drama, and horticultural therapy, providing trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Drama Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Horticultural Therapy, or another recognized creative arts discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive therapeutic assessments and document clinical impressions.
• Develop and facilitate individual and group creative arts therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions.
• Coordinate therapeutic and wellness programming, including weekend programming.
• Educate patients on healthy leisure skills and community resources to support recovery after discharge.
• Promote patient safety and respond to behavioral health crises using de-escalation techniques.
