Job summary

Fairmount Behavioral Health System, located on a 27-acre wooded campus in Roxborough, Philadelphia, seeks a Full-Time Creative Arts Therapist to join our therapeutic team Sunday through Thursday. You will assess patients’ leisure activities and lead age-appropriate therapy groups using creative arts modalities and talk therapy.

Report to the Director of Therapeutic Services and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to develop safety plans and behavioral goals in line with our philosophy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling or related field with specialization in a creative arts/allied therapy modality (i.e. art, music, movement, recreation, occupational therapy)
• One (1) year preferred experience in Behavioral health field working with people in recovery from mental health disorders

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ leisure and recreational activities and lead therapy groups using a combination of activities, creative arts modalities, and talk therapy.
• Establish behavioral treatment goals and safety/crisis plans in alignment with Fairmount Behavioral Health System’s philosophy.
