Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a Cook to prepare and implement seasonal cycle menus at Helen Porter Nursing and Rehabilitation. Under the Lead Cook and Nutrition Services Manager, you will ensure safety and sanitation, maintain quality standards, and support dietary requirements.

You will collaborate with the nutrition team and other staff to deliver consistent meals and adhere to regulatory diets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in food service; cook experience strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement the established seasonal cycle menus.
• Ensure safety and sanitation of the kitchen.
• Maintain quality control and compliance with regulatory agencies and therapeutic diets.
• Collaborate with the Nutrition Services Manager, staff dietitian, support staff and other department team members.
