The W Group is seeking a Cook / Dietary Aide to join our kitchen team at The W Assisted Living Management Company. The role covers Cook duties with Dietary Aide tasks on select days, balancing back-of-house and resident dining responsibilities.

Immediate start, days, evenings, weekends, and OT options are available. Responsibilities include food preparation, production planning, following recipes and diet orders, and maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Culinary/food service experience required.
• One year of institutional food service experience is a plus.
• Prior experience working with a vulnerable population is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to follow federal and state food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cook Duties: Prepare food.
• Cook Duties: Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
• Cook Duties: Follow standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Cook Duties: Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Cook Duties: Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and workstation.
• Cook Duties: Meet federal and state health department standards and codes for proper food storage, handling, and preparation.
• Dietary Aide Duties (as scheduled): Set up tables and other dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Dietary Aide Duties (as scheduled): Deliver dishes and trays to residents.
• Dietary Aide Duties (as scheduled): Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas.
• Dietary Aide Duties (as scheduled): Provide assistance to residents with dignity and compassion.
