Job summary

Campus Concessions at MCC South Campus is seeking a Food Service Worker for part-time weekend shifts. You will assist with food preparation, stock and organize concessions, and provide friendly customer service at the front lines of sales.

Responsibilities include cash handling, maintaining sanitation, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Experience in food service preferred; training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of food service experience required; strong food prep skills preferred.
• Food/Beverage Production — knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing, serving, storing and handling food and beverage products.
• Mathematics — ability to add and subtract, charging appropriately and distributing change to customers.
• Suggestive Selling or Influencing Others — suggesting others to buy merchandise/goods or to otherwise change their minds or actions.
• Customer Service — working with the public; knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: assisting with food preparation such as creating fruit cups, maintaining the salad bar, stocking food supplies, etc.
• Sales Service: engage with and provide superior service to all customers; answer questions and provide information on procedures or policies.
• Cash Handling: establish or identify prices, capture sales, receive payment, issue receipts, balance cash drawer.
• Teamwork: contribute to a positive team environment and maintain calm demeanor during high volume.
• Merchandise: organize and stock supplies, rotate products, and optimize customer sales.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow policies, clean, sanitize and organize work areas and equipment.
