Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Big Bend, WI is seeking a Weekend CNC Setup Machinist for a Fri–Sun, 12-hour shift. This direct-hire role offers base pay up to $33.00/hr plus weekend premium, and full 40-hour pay for 36 hours worked, with a modern climate-controlled shop serving aerospace, defense, and medical markets.

You will independently set up CNC mills and turning centers, adjust offsets, monitor tool wear, and verify dimensions with GD&T.

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
Strong ability to read engineering blueprints and interpret GD&T.
Willingness to work Fri–Sun 7:00 AM–7:00 PM on a fixed weekend schedule.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder within daily driving distance of Big Bend, WI.
Committed to reliability and long-term tenure.

Responsibilities

Execute complete, independent setups and operation on CNC mills and turning centers for complex precision components.
Monitor tool wear, adjust tool offsets, establish work holding, and maintain tight dimensional tolerances.
Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections with precision measuring hand tools and gauges.
Investigate and resolve setup deviations or mechanical issues to maintain weekend production workflow.
Interpret complex engineering blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and follow GD&T requirements.
Keep a clean, organized, safe, and 5S-compliant machining station.
