Job summary

Dogwood Industries LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator for the Sedro-Woolley, WA factory. The role focuses on operating a PythonX robotic plasma cutting system to process steel beams, channels, and tubes, with weekend shift differential.

The candidate will read shop drawings, set up equipment, and ensure dimensional accuracy while maintaining safety and quality standards in a production environment. Weekend availability and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational degree.
• Experience in an industrial setting is required.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively—written and verbally.
• Must be dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including extended hours and weekends.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Reads shop drawings to determine machining and specifications.
• Safely uses material handling equipment to move steel to and from processing area.
• Operates PythonX CNC robotic plasma cutting system.
• Secures work pieces and aligns with stops and guides.
• Monitors machine operation, adjusts feed rates and speeds per process sheet.
• Inspects first-piece and performs spot checks on subsequent pieces for conformance.
• Prepares for next run by organizing materials and setup changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
