Job summary

TDW is seeking a weekend Machinist to fabricate metal and plastic components by operating CNC and other machine tools. You will produce parts from bars, forgings, or castings, reading blueprints and setting up tools to meet tolerances.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of vocational training or equivalent, be able to read schematics, and adhere to safety policies while maintaining quality and efficiency in a lean shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years vocational/technical training or equivalent experience.
• Able to read blueprints and work to manufacturing tolerances.
• Capable of setting up machines and selecting feeds and speeds.
• Committed to safety policies and clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machine tools to fabricate parts from raw materials.
• Read blueprints and shop drawings to determine tooling and setups.
• Set up feeds, speeds, and tools for cutting operations.
• Self-inspect parts to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and participate in Lean initiatives.
