Job summary

MediLodge of Capital Area in Michigan is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join a weekend shift. The CNA provides basic nursing assistance under supervision and helps residents with daily living activities.

The successful candidate will hold an active CNA in the state, have good emergency responsiveness and communication skills, and ideally possess six months of LTC experience.

Qualifications

• CNA certification valid in the state of employment.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and quick decision-making required.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates; tracks intake/output.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
