Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training course
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy (bedside manner)

Responsibilities

• Certified Nursing Assistants assist with daily living activities, including delivering meals, turning, ambulating, and providing water and nourishment
• Help patients with personal hygiene, bedpans, baths, shampoos, and showers
• Provide adjunct care such as ice packs, non-sterile dressings, and therapeutic baths
• Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart
• Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
• Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• Maintain composure under pressure in critical situations
