Job summary

Holbrook Life is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer medications to residents as prescribed, accurately recording each dose and ensuring compliance with Holbrook Life policies and state/federal regulations.

The CMA will monitor residents, document medication effectiveness, obtain vital signs, support residents’ rights during self-administration, and maintain medication safety and inventory while communicating with families. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide and Certified Medication Aide in good standing with the GA registry
• At least 6 months of experience passing medications in a personal care home or assisted living
• CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations
• Ability to obtain, record and interpret residents’ vital signs
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques with low error rate
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Consent to drug screen, TB test and physical
• Consent to criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications for residents as prescribed
• Observe, record and report symptoms or conditions related to medications
• Determine and record effectiveness of medications
• Obtain vital signs during medication administration
• Promote residents’ rights during self-administration
• Monitor medications and maintain accountability
• Inspect and monitor equipment and supplies for safety
• Respond to residents’ family questions and requests
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety rules
