Job summary

Friends Outside in California is seeking a part-time Children’s Activity Coordinator to supervise and engage children visiting at the Visitor Center. You will develop age-appropriate activities, ensure safety and cleanliness, and coordinate with staff to support families during visits.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, sanitizing play areas, training volunteers, and assisting with transportation planning when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with three ECE units or related childcare experience.
• Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, plan and provide age-appropriate children’s activities.
• Attend to children’s personal needs and maintain hygiene and safety in play areas.
• Coordinate transportation plans with Visiting Staff and Transportation Coordinator when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate registration and safety records for childcare.
• Ensure activities are clean, sanitized, and free of broken/loose parts.
• Supervise, train and evaluate program volunteers.
• Provide role modeling and assistance using appropriate childcare practices.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
