Job summary

Complete Care, Inc. is seeking a Weekend Charge Nurse RN to lead nursing care and unit operations during weekend shifts. You will supervise CNAs and on-duty staff, oversee admissions and discharges, administer medications, and respond to clinical needs to maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNAs and nursing staff on duty to ensure compassionate, regulatory-compliant resident care.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and physician orders accurately and timely.
• Assess resident conditions, record vitals, document progress notes, and update care plans as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for attending physicians, families, and emergency services during weekend shifts.
• Address change-of-condition events promptly and ensure proper documentation and protocols are followed.

Role Overview

As a Weekend Charge Nurse, you will oversee nursing care and unit operations during weekend shifts. You will lead direct care staff, manage resident admissions/discharges, administer medications and treatments, and respond to clinical needs to maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership: Supervise and guide CNAs and nursing staff on duty to ensure compassionate, regulatory-compliant resident care.

• Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and physician orders accurately and timely.

• Resident Assessment & Care Planning: Assess resident conditions, record vitals, document progress notes, and update care plans as needed.

• Physician & Family Communication: Serve as the primary contact for attending physicians, families, and emergency services during weekend shifts.

• Emergency Response: Address change-of-condition events promptly and ensure proper documentation and protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• License: Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Wisconsin.

• Experience: Charge nurse experience Required

• Prior nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting preferred; leadership experience is a plus.

• Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Certification required.

• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, communication, time management, and team leadership abilities.
