Job summary

Adams Hometown Markets is seeking a cashier to handle customer transactions, provide excellent service, and assist with store duties. You will process payments, answer questions, and promote promotions while maintaining accuracy and a friendly attitude.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 80–85 lbs, and availability for weekend shifts in a team-based environment. Pay is $16.94 per hour with part-time hours up to 20 weekly.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year retail experience or relevant experience.
• Serve Safe certification or comparable.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with locating products and answer inquiries.
• Process purchases accurately with cash, cards, or other methods.
• Ensure correct change for cash transactions.
• Count and reconcile cash drawer at shift start and end.
• Promote loyalty programs, discounts, and promotions to customers.
• Bag and package purchases carefully and assist with carrying bags or locating carts.
