Job summary

Right at Home Northwest Houston is seeking Weekend Caregivers to support seniors in their homes. You will provide essential personal care, companionship, and light housekeeping to help clients age in place with dignity.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered service, weekend availability, and a structured paid training program to build skills and confidence for ongoing client support.

Qualifications

• 6 months of caregiving experience
• Ability to lift and transfer clients with minimal assistance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and related services per established plan of care
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, dressing, meals and errands
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
• Perform light housekeeping activities as needed

As a Weekend Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients, allowing them to age in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities:

• Provides various personal care and related services in accordance with an established plan of care, including but not limited to:

  • Personal Hygiene

  • Ambulation/Transfers

  • Dressing/Shaving

  • Preparing meals and snacks

  • Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments

  • Performing light housekeeping activities

• Develop strong relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship

Required Qualifications:

• 6 months of experience in the caregiving field

• Ability to lift and transfer clients with minimal assistance

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
