Job summary

Home Instead is seeking a Weekend Caregiver to support older adults in our local service area, primarily Fri-Sun with a 7:00 AM–10:00 PM window. The role offers $17 per hour and a plan to work at least 32 hours each weekend, keeping weekdays free.

Care Professionals provide companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, medication reminders, and personal care in clients\' homes. Travel across South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Niles, and Berrien Springs may be required.

Qualifications

• Dependable and compassionate with a commitment to client welfare.
• Willingness to travel to client homes in the service area.
• Able to work a minimum of 32 weekend hours within 7:00 AM–10:00 PM window.
• Previous caregiver experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide transportation and run errands.
• Give medication reminders and assist with personal care.
• Support mobility and transfers; assist with dementia care as needed.

Weekend Caregiver Schedule

Availability Window

Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM-10:00 PM

Pay

$17.00 per hour

To qualify for the Weekend Caregiver pay rate, you must be available and scheduled to work at least 32 hours between Friday and Sunday each week.

Work 32 hours and earn $544 per weekend — while keeping Monday through Thursday free!

Where You'll Work

Home Instead provides care to clients throughout our local service area. Weekend assignments may be located in:

• South Bend, IN
• Mishawaka, IN
• Granger, IN
• Niles, MI
• Berrien Springs, MI

Applicants should be comfortable traveling to client homes throughout these areas based on scheduling and client needs.

Weekend Commitment

This is a weekend-focused position, not an occasional weekend role.

Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours between Friday and Sunday and have availability within our 7:00 AM-10:00 PM weekend scheduling window.

Because we serve clients throughout the area, applicants must also be willing and able to travel to client homes in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Niles, and Berrien Springs as needed.
