Job summary

Right at Home Kingwood is hiring Personal Care Aides to assist seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes across Houston, TX. You will provide daily living support, hygiene, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, while following care plans and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• One year experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities)
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair)
• Ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores
• Prepare meals and work your way around a kitchen

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.
