Job summary

BOS Security, Inc. is seeking a part-time security officer to protect Gwinnett County Schools. The schedule is Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 10pm, plus all holidays as needed.

You will patrol buildings and grounds, inspect doors and windows for security, deter violations, respond to alarms, and document incidents. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required; a smartphone and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Security, law enforcement, military, or other related experience and/or training preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Stable work history
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and a background check; This position is subject to random drug testing
• MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Smartphone, a valid driver's license and your own, working transportation-no drop offs/public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds on foot
• Inspects doors, windows, and gates to ensure security
• Warns violators of rule infractions and apprehends or escorts illegal activity
• Responds to alarms and notifies police or fire department
• Records incidents and maintains logbooks
• Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at access points
• Other duties as assigned
