Job summary

BOS Security, Inc. seeks a part-time security officer for the West Atlanta area. The role requires patrolling, monitoring, reporting, and maintaining logs, with a focus on visible presence and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Trained and qualified to work assigned post; follow post instructions and client requirements.
• Patrol and monitor parking garage/parking deck and residential buildings.
• Enforce parking lot rules and warn violators of infractions.
• Inspect equipment for tampering and report irregularities such as fire hazards.
• Observe departing personnel to guard client property and respond to alarms.
• Record data such as property damage and incidents for supervisory review.
• Regulate traffic at access points to maintain orderly flow.
• Other duties as assigned.

BOS Security is now hiring for a part-time security officer in the West Atlanta, GA area.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 11PM-7AM

Start date of October 23rd, with 4 hour trainings on the 21st and 22nd

Applicant must be able to: Make hourly patrols

Maintain detailed activity log for shift

Maintain visibility throughout duration of shift

Have and maintain strong professional customer services skills

Show up to work on time in uniform and ready to work

Experience with camera monitoring preferred

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Trained and qualified to work assigned post. Understands the specific and general post instructions for that assigned post. Has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client
• Patrolling and monitoring parking garage/parking deck and residential buildings of Freedom Lofts
• Enforcing parking lot rules
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred
• Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked
• Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of client property
• Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Permits authorized persons to enter property
• Registers at watch stations to record time of inspection trips
• Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff
• Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at access points to maintain orderly flow
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Security, law enforcement, military, or other related experience and/or training preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Stable work history
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and a background check; This position is subject to random drug testing
• MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
  Smartphone, a valid driver's license and your own, working transportation-no drop offs/public transportation.
