Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Weekend Activity Staff member to support the YMCA Camps Sea Gull and Seafarer mission by running safe, engaging programs on weekends. You will help supervise activities such as arts, archery, riflery, canoeing, and swimming within permitted certification levels.

Applicants should be able to work multiple weekend dates, be outdoors-friendly, and committed to safety, teamwork, and positive youth development.

Qualifications

• Able to interact well with children and adults in a group setting.
• Able to cooperate with other staff to run programs safely.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in variable weather.
• Demonstrates a proactive, safety-conscious approach to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and facilitate weekend activities (e.g., arts, archery, riflery, canoeing, zipline, swimming as permitted).
• Create a safe, positive environment that supports skill development and leadership.
• Collaborate with directors and staff to maintain clean, safe activity areas.
• Model safe practices and enthusiastic, team-oriented leadership.
• Attend required staff meetings and be flexible with duties as assigned by directors.
