Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a BHS Clinician to provide leadership and clinical support for severely emotionally disturbed or disabled adult behavioral health patients. The role emphasizes coordination of care, discharge planning and collaboration with psychiatrists and nursing staff.

The position requires a Master's degree in a mental health field, LCSW/LMFT/LPC licensure and CPR certification, with experience in outpatient or inpatient behavioral health settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related mental health field.
• Three years of experience in the mental health field after Master's.
• Licensed as an LCSW, LMFT or LPC.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation, guidance and leadership to patients and staff in the emergency departments.
• Assists in diagnosis, assessment and ongoing management of behavioral health patients in ED and inpatient floors.
• Ensures discharge plans for behavioral health patients and supports psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses.
• Contributes to quality improvement by collecting data and analyzing information.
• Delivers in-services and educational services to non-BH staff about behavioral health care within the hospital system.
