Job summary

Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for an experienced RN to join our Weekend Baylor program. This full-time role covers weekend shifts in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Dawson Springs, KY, with a 36-hour schedule paid as 40 hours.

You will lead clinical care, supervise staff, perform assessments, and coordinate with physicians and other professionals to ensure high-quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky RN License
• Valid CPR Certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders and personalized care plans
• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and clinical evaluations
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor and respond promptly to changes in resident conditions
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility nursing regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
• Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning
• Promote resident dignity and person-centered care
• Assist residents with behavioral health challenges using effective communication and de-escalation
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader during weekend shifts
