Job summary

i9 Sports - Aspen Management is seeking a Baseball Coordinator for weekend, part-time contractor roles across rotating seasonal venues in the South Inland Empire region of Southern California. You will support coaches, supervise games, and ensure safe, engaging practices for youth players.

The position requires strong communication, reliable transportation, and the ability to work evenings and weekends across several cities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to venue workplace.
• At least 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems.
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players.
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and some evenings (~7 weeks).
• Must have a smartphone with internet capability.
• Must pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun learning and safe environment for all players.
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values.
• Set up and break down game/practice field equipment.
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
• Assist volunteer coaches during practice time with drills and be able to answer questions they may have.
• Supervise the overall operation of designated sports on game day.
