Qualifications

• Barista experience is welcome but not required, training provided.
• Outgoing and engaging personality.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to problem solve and engage with a team.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate through different channels (email, phone, PM software).

Responsibilities

• Present a positive image of PJ’s customers and coworkers.
• Proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve the experience.
• Prepare all beverages and food to PJ’s specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the store offers excellent customer service and maintains the store’s upkeep.
• Follow cash handling procedures accurately.
• Ensure store sanitization, safety, and aesthetics by daily checklists.
• Alert management to operational needs and equipment issues.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and apply new skills.
