Job summary

Corner Cup Coffee Shop in Fargo, ND is seeking a friendly Barista who delivers personal and efficient service to guests while preparing coffee drinks and light fare. The role emphasizes hospitality, organization, and maintaining clean work areas during shifts on weekends.

Experience with coffee preparation and strong customer service is valued. Wage plus tips is offered for weekend hours, with a focus on creating a welcoming guest experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food service regulations.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to guest issues in accordance with the brand standards.
• Excellent conflict-resolution skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a friendly smile; provide friendly, efficient and personal service to each customer.
• Take food and drink orders; understand the food and beverage menu in order to provide the best possible description and execution of menu items to your guests.
• Have an in-depth understanding of the coffee preparation process, including specialty drinks.
• Accurately and efficiently enter orders into POS system.
• Receive and prepare orders sent through from the POS system.
• Clear and reset counters and tables at the conclusion of each guest's visit.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times, warmly and enthusiastically.

Our baristas are always organized, calm, and friendly, going above and beyond to make sure our guests have the best experience at our Corner Cup Coffee Shop.
