Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in St. Louis is seeking an Avionics/Electrical Technician 2 for weekend days to test and troubleshoot aircraft systems.

The role requires hands-on installation and verification of avionic components per engineering specs, with emphasis on safety and quality. Minimum four years in avionics/electrical field or equivalent schooling plus two years related experience; A&P license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years experience in avionics/electrical career field, or two years accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two years related experience.
• A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. Other FCC preferred. Other NCATT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical skills in testing aircraft systems and troubleshooting.
• Performs installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per engineering specs.
• Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoots to provide timely repairs.
• Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring to meet conformity; uses proper techniques.
• Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests.
• Documents all work for inspection readiness; maintains test equipment and systems.
