Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. seeks a hands-on Automation Technician for the Fri–Sun shift (6am–6pm) to install, optimize, and support automated manufacturing systems across injection molding and ferrule posting areas.

You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, assist with PLC/HMI programs, and train operators in a collaborative environment in Hickory, NC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical tech.
• Hands-on automation experience in manufacturing environments.
• Familiar with PLC/HMI programming, testing and diagnostics.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, optimize, and support automation in injection molding areas.
• Monitor processes, inspect output, and maintain quality and consistency.
• Provide first-line troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs with vendors.
• Assist with PLC/HMI testing and documentation updates.
