Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Armed Safety and Security Officer for weekend shifts. The role emphasizes protecting patients and staff while aligning with the system’s compassionate culture and mission.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, intervening in safety issues, and enforcing regulations and internal policies. Ohio Peace Officer Training, security experience, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED required.
• Licensure/Certification: Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate prior to being assigned a shift as an Armed Safety and Security Officer.
• Experience: Three to five years experience in security, law enforcement or military disciplines or equivalent training.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record maintained.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through job knowledge, skills and engagement.
• Intervene as appropriate in any safety & security observed issues.
• Enforces all governmental regulations, standards, policies associated with Mount Carmel Health System and Safety & Security policies.
