Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Armed Safety and Security Officer for the weekend 1st shift to maintain a safe environment across the health system. The role emphasizes compassion, calm, and clear communication, reflecting the healthcare setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certification, with 3–5 years of security or related experience preferred. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED required.
• Licensure/Certification: Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate required prior to shift assignment as Armed Safety and Security Officer.
• Experience: 3–5 years in security, law enforcement, or relevant discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through knowledge, skills and engagement; intervene when safety and security issues are observed.
• Enforce governmental regulations, Mount Carmel policies, and safety policies (e.g., smoking policy).
• Communicate safety and security discrepancies to the appropriate parties for mitigation.
