Job summary

ABC7 KGO-TV seeks an experienced Weekend Anchor Reporter to lead weekend morning coverage, report stories from the field, and serve as a fill‑in anchor on weekdays. You will produce, shoot, write and edit for linear TV, online news, and 24/7 streams while maintaining a strong social media presence.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications and at least five years in a top market with excellent writing and on‑air delivery. Bay Area knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a top 50 market.
• Excellent writing skills and solid news judgment.
• Ability to shoot video and edit stories for linear and digital platforms.
• Proficient with handheld cameras and non‑linear editing tools.
• Superior on‑camera presentation.

Responsibilities

• Anchor weekend morning newscasts on linear TV and streaming.
• Report local stories from the field with live reports.
• Write, shoot and edit stories for TV and digital.
• Create and manage digital scripts and copy.
• Produce social media content and maintain an online presence.
• Represent KGO at community and promotional events.
