Job description

WJAC is seeking a Weekend Anchor/Multi-Media Journalist. Responsibilities include reporting, shooting, editing news stories, developing story ideas, and building contacts. You will produce daily content across various platforms, including broadcast and digital, and anchor newscasts on weekends.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong news judgment
  • Ability to craft NPPA-style stories
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to connect with and engage audiences both on air and online

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • At least two years of reporting experience, including some on the anchor desk
  • Experience with live shots is required
  • Experience with iNews and LiveU is a plus
