Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Lyophilization Technician for the weekend AM shift to support lyophilizer preparation, loading/unloading, and cycle monitoring. The role includes cross-training across manufacturing and ensuring equipment readiness.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED) with manufacturing experience or an associate degree in Science/Engineering, plus PLC, refrigeration, and GMP knowledge. Benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Associates degree in Science or Maintenance/Engineering preferred; 4+ years experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs and refrigeration systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor lyophilizer during operation and document checks.
• Perform lyophilization prep tasks: CIP, SIP, and leak tests.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures in lyophilization systems.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, R&D, Technical Services, and outside vendors to implement cycles and readiness.
• Train other departments on lyophilization activities.
• Evaluate system functionality to prevent downtime.
• Assist with process/equipment validation.
• Cross-train in other Manufacturing or Maintenance areas and train others.
