Job summary
West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Weekend Composite Technician in Cedar Hill, TX. This full-time, on-site role offers exposure to sheet metal operations on airframe components and opportunities for growth within a respected MRO leader.
The position requires knowledge of sheet metal processes and a general understanding of blueprints; English communication is essential. Benefits include medical, dental, 401K, paid time off, and weekly pay.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
- Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes such as forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting.
- Airframe experience or knowledge is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
- Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
- Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
- Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
- Speak, write, read in English and communicate effectively with team members
